Your responsibilities
The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2005 places certain responsibilities upon persons controlling a building to identify and manage asbestos and inform staff and contractors as to the presence of asbestos in the workplace.
Effects of asbestos
People exposed to asbestos fibres may find themselves suffering from long term and, eventually, fatal health problems which may not become apparent for anything up to 30 years after initial exposure.
At this time it is estimated at some 3,000 people a year are dying from the affects of exposure to asbestos.
How we can help you
We can assist small and medium sized companies in the identification of asbestos and how best to manage any identified asbestos containing materials. We are competent in the completion of asbestos surveys along with the development of management plans and associated assessment.
In addition we are accredited by UKATA to deliver asbestos awareness courses to persons who may be exposed to asbestos during their work activity.
