The training time for this course is 24 hours in total, delivered over 4 days in a full week or one day per week for 4 weeks.

Managing safely is a course for managers and supervisors in any organisation. It is designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams.

It may be tailored to meet the particular needs of organisations and provides successful candidates with a qualification in Health and Safety from a worldwide recognized safety body. The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues, and includes a session tackling the environment too.

The modules covered are as follows:

• Assessing risks
• Controlling risks
• Understanding your responsibilities
• Identifying hazards
• Investigating accidents and incidents
• Measuring performance
• Protecting our environment

Candidates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments at the end of the course will be awarded with an IOSH certificate in Managing Safely.
