As part of our efforts – and those of course providers – to offer an uninterrupted service during this period of coronavirus isolation, we’ve been steadily adding more courses to our e-Learning selection. We’re pleased to announce that this now includes both the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) courses!
The SSSTS course is due to take place across three sessions between 11th – 13th May with the price TBC. The SMSTS course meanwhile will start on 20th May, with sessions each Wednesday for five weeks. The SMSTS course will cost £400 + VAT, down from £450 due to the lower overheads.
Training will be conducted via the Zoom video conferencing app, with seminars delivered by one of our qualified and engaging trainers. Training will be delivered by video across a number of short sessions, with a final assessment taking place online. The curriculum is exactly the same as the classroom course, and you will receive the same qualification.
Administered by the CITB as part of Site Safety Plus and fully endorsed by Build UK, the SSSTS and SMSTS courses are industry standard training for site supervisors and managers respectively. Many sites require that supervisors and managers take the requisite course, with a refresher course to be taken at least once every five years.
The SSSTS course primarily teaches you how to recognise risks and implement safety laws on a worksite, taking an active role in site safety. The SMSTS meanwhile covers safety in regards to planning and site policy, and helps you to make informed decisions on how to manage risks and implement safe working practices.
