As SAMS founder Paul Sadd moves into his retirement, we are thrilled to announce that three of our dedicated employees, Alex, Nicola, and Chris, will be investing in SAMS. This exciting development will see them assume the roles of directors and become shareholders of the company.

We firmly believe that this management buyout is the optimal strategy to ensure the long-term success of the business, enhance our ability to serve our valued clients, and meet the evolving demands of the industry. Additionally, this presents a fantastic opportunity for the new buyers to contribute their expertise and drive the company forward.

SAMS, a leading UK health and safety consultancy, has a rich history that dates to its formation in 1999 by Paul Sadd. Initially, SAMS started as a side business to Paul’s policing career. However, as the consultancy grew and flourished, Paul’s dedication and expertise allowed him to transition it into his full-time career.

Over the course of 24 years, SAMS has experienced remarkable success, expanded its team, and established itself as a trusted name in the industry. Today, as Paul leaves for a well-deserved retirement, SAMS continues to thrive and provide top-notch health and safety services to its clients.

Paul is proud to be handing the reins to our new directors. In fact, both Paul and Lee Sadd enthusiastically embraced the idea of appointing new directors as a testament to their remarkable achievements.

Lee, as the Managing Director, would like to express his deep admiration for Paul’s outstanding work at SAMS. Paul’s experience, knowledge, and exceptional abilities will be greatly missed. His legacy as a safety professional will always be held in high regard. With the new directors, we are confident that we can carry forward and build upon the strong foundation that Paul has established.

We are excited to introduce our new SAMS directors: Alex Hawk, Nicola Waddell and Chris Brenchley. They will be working alongside Lee Sadd to bring even more expertise and leadership to our team.

Alex Hawk – Compliance Director

Alex Hawk will take on the role of Compliance Director. Alex is a hardworking and consistent safety professional who’s built a rapport with many of our clients, and in Lee’s opinion is one of the most disciplined workers there is. Alex’s recent achievements include getting onto the tiered Fire Risk Assessors register (TFRAR).

Alex’s natural leadership abilities, exceptional organisation, consistent can-do attitude, and an ability to stay calm under pressure all make him the perfect fit for this position. We have no doubt Alex will excel in his new role, and bring remarkable new achievements to our team.

Nicola Waddell – Training Director

Nicola Waddell will take on the role of Training Director. Nicola first started as a part-time admin assistant in 2013, working her way up to Training Coordinator, and then into sales & marketing. She is now starting her new journey as a training director, a role we feel she’s a natural fit for.

Nicola has long-standing a passion for all things sales and training, and loves coming up with innovative campaign ideas on the marketing side. With her past contributions to our team’s success, we cannot wait to see her shine as a director, and contribute even more to our sales and training efforts.

Chris Brenchley – Operations Director

Chris Brenchley was initially hired as a trainee safety advisor in 2016, before working his way up to Senior Safety Advisor and then Operations Manager. Chris has been an incredible asset to our team since day one, consistently delivering high quality work and displaying his exceptional management skills.

His exceptional dedication, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to go the extra mile have truly set him apart. We can’t wait to see how he continues to thrive in his new position, and helps the business grow going forwards.

These changes reflect the hard work of all our staff here at SAMS, and we believe that we are in a strong position to deliver the quality service our clients have come to expect. Everyone at SAMS wishes Paul all the best in his retirement, and we hope to continue on his legacy with our new team of directors.
