How will the First Aid for Mental Health online courses be conducted?

Assessment

Once you have gained the requisite knowledge from video tuition and study, an assessment will be carried out via video. This will take the form of an observed multiple choice exam paper and a practical assessment, the taking of which will be recorded and made available to the FAA.

Our trainers bear responsibility for ensuring that you complete the full syllabus and have the requisite knowledge, understanding and skills to gain your qualification. We’ll advise you on how to complete the assessment in a way which will ensure you can receive your certificate.

Certification

A Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health or Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health certificate will be issued to the learner, subject to a successful video assessment. There is no expiry of the qualification, but annual refresher training is recommended.
