About the Course

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate online course (NCC) has been completed by more than 12,000 people in the construction industry, making it the leading health and safety qualification for construction.

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate online course will give you and understanding of health and safety issues that predominantly affect construction activities. Gaining this qualification will enable you to apply for an academically qualified person’s CSCS card (white).

The NCC online course is designed for Managers, Supervisors and those with a role under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 within the construction industry, who are required to ensure that activities under their control are undertaken safely.

The National Construction Certificate online course may also prove useful for those concerned with the management of buildings, who might need to ensure that contractors are working safely.

Course Content

The NEBOSH National Construction Certificate online course is divided into three separately assessed units:

• NGC1 – Management of Health and Safety
• NCC1 – Managing and Controlling Hazards in Construction Activities
• NCC2 – Construction Health and Safety Practical Application

No health and safety knowledge is required prior to taking the course, though it is advised that candidates have an understanding of the basic practical aspects of the construction industry.

Assessment

Units NGC1 and NCC1 are taught units, each assessed separately by a written examination. A work-based practical examination is used to assess Unit NCC2.

All units must be completed within 5 years to gain the full qualification.
